cakap cakap…no better person who can lead us in our endeavours other than Tun Dr Mahathir.
When you guys come into my house at steadyaku47, to read what I write, you leave your footprints behind. Some of you politely knock on my door and ask if you can come in and chat with me awhile. Some push the door open without so much as an “excuse me” then sit down without being asked and then proceed to give me your thoughts about this and that. Then there are some of you that just barge into my house, trample all over my living room without taking your shoes off, and after loudly berating me for being an unwelcoming host, leave the same way you came, rudely and without regard to anyone’s need but your own. As a blogger for many years, I am accepting of my lot. I meet all types and deal with all kinds of netizens from Batang Berjuntai and K Hell to London, and even from Moscow and beyond. To anyone that stops to read what I write, I am thankful.
To all of you, steadyaku47 is the common denominator. All of you speak to me but not necessarily to each other. So I see, listen and hear what every one of you thinks, write, comment or make of what I write. Some of you do private message me, send me text and emails on same. And then some of you call me on my mobile to cakap cakap about issues and matters that matter in our lives. All in all, I think I have a fair idea of what you guys are concerned about. For the past many months, among many of us, the debate has raged over the Mahathir Anwar succession issue. Let me try and put things into perspective.
First Anwar Ibrahim.
The overwhelming majority of those who read what I write are disappointed at how this Brader of ours has carried himself since his release from Sungai Buloh and the subsequent pardon from the Agong for what he has done in the past. We feel that there must first be a time for Anwar to be a good human being. To be a good husband to Azizah and a good father for his children. Forget politics. Forget his burning desire to be PM. Just take time to be a decent human being first. This Anwar has not done! We feel he is not grateful for finding himself where he has been many many years ago: the next in line be to be PM. In short, too many Malaysian today do not want Anwar to be their prime minister. The operative words here are “those who read what I write” and “do not want”. And since what I write is a reflection of those who read what I write, I can say that WE do not want Anwar as PM.
We have not forgotten the Mahathir of old. We have not forgotten also, the new Mahathir who led us and Pakatan Harapan to electoral victory over the Umno led Barisan Nasional. There are many unresolved issues between Tun Dr. Mahathir and us but if push comes to shove, if Anwar goes head to head against Tun Dr. Mahathir for the post of Prime Minister, the consensus among us all will be for Mahathir to win over Anwar. When push comes to shove, we will stand with Tun Dr. Mahathir against Anwar Ibrahim. End of story.
Kak Lat of MACC.
Don’t anybody mess with her! This lady is doing her bit to bring hope, morality, ethics and respect back into MACC. A strong and independent MACC is critical to good governance. It is critical to keeping the bastard honest in parliament. and in government. And we are all agreed that Kak Lat is the person to do this.
Enough for now. We have started the journey towards a new Malaysia together after the last PRU. Let us not falter, let us not tremble or fear what is being thrown our way by the forces of corruption and evil that still resides within our midst in great numbers. Until the time when such people like Najib and Rosmah bow their heads in shame for what they have done to our nation and our people in the name of government. Until corruption is no longer as common as bread and beras within our community. Until all our people are one and of the same race: the Human Race, we must all be there for each other and stand united against anyone and any force that wants to bring back those dark, dark days of the BN government. For now, there is no better person who can lead us in our endeavors other than Tun Dr. Mahathir.
