Zahid’s position within Umno is untenable. Will he graciously resign (NOT!) or will Umno turf him out (YES!)? Or will there be other options for Zahid to consider? Anwar Ibrahim perhaps? What about Tun Dr Mahathir? The possibility of having Zahid on board for any of them is not to be entertained without much thought to the repercussions that will surely follow his certain convictions for a myriad of offences. And more worrying for these politicians, what about the backlash from a rakyat throughly sicken by the antics of politicians immersed in their own personal political agendas rather than that of the rakyats.
Any other which way, Zahid is a has been who never was. He has made his money and is all cashed up but in truth, he is the proverbial “hot potato” that nobody wants to be left holding….and yet even a hot potato is a food source once it cools down! But either way, surely prison beckons with the certainty of a Sodomy three?
The Mahathir vs Anwar conundrum.
Already the lines are drawn. Not that imaginary line in the sand…this is a line drawn across Pakatan Harapan that tells all who are in PH : You are either with me or you are on the wrong side!
Somehow the story, told in various hues by various individuals and from time to time, burnished with anecdotes and interesting aside all coming, so they say, from the horses mouth….the story is simply this : Mahathir already has Azmin working overtime in his stable. Azmin has one leg here and the other leg there but when push comes to shove, he will be with Mahathir. Anwar has Rafizi. The warring parties are now circling their wagons to defend their own positions.
Of course their numbers – physical and fiscal – must stack up against the other side or else die lah. Anwar has a “private office” to meet with millionaires and once in a while, the odd billionaires. His “fight” with Mahathir is a good excuse (sigh…) for Anwar to build his “War Chest”. Visions of Umno’s war lords clouds my mind. Mahathir? He knows that given enough rope, Anwar will hang himself. Mahathir is doing just that. Then, when push comes to shove….they will appeal to the rakyat to decide. We know what we will do. Do they?
OTHER MATTERS .
Najib and Rosmah. Who? And who cares anymore? Sungai Buloh awaits.
Irwan Seregar, the EC ex head, the ex IGP, that ex ROS bitch, ex MACC KP, the ex AG…all will die standing ma! Not if, but when they will all go in!
How long before Umno bungkus tikar and blah? Can you remember the time when the President of Umno even had the Agong coming to pay homage to him? And now? One ex Umno president is now prime minister. The other ex Umno president is looking at spending the rest of his useful life in jail. And the present president of Umno is facing 45 charges of criminal breach of trust, abuse of power and money laundering. Aisehman dunia sudah terbalik ma!
How will Azizah be humanly disposed of in the near future when Anwar is back as President of PKR, back as a contender for Tun’s crown and back to speed as the “legend” of Reformasi ? Wither goes Azizah? Or will she be part of the furniture and somehow find a place in a corner somewhere to sit in government with her husband as prime minister? All this, I am sure, must be matters being discussed round the dining table in Istana Segambut ad infinitum!!!
There are some of you who will ask why anyone will want to “work” with Anwar Ibrahim with all the baggage that he carries. Surely no one is stupid enough to do so. Try Rafizi. How a guy with Rafizi’s “smartness” and “intellect” can allow himself to used by Anwar is beyond my comprehension…but that is the truth, is it not?
And who else will come onto Anwar’s side?
Many others for many different reasons. Political, business, friendship and way way down the line….those foot soldiers who dimly remember “those reformasi days” and are willing to “berani mati” for the brader. And don’t forget that bald-headed guy in London who had a skirmish with some Sikhs recently and came out bruised and battered. Will he come on board to add his “considerable blogging skills” to Anwar’s arsenal against Mahathir….or are they still in negotiations?”
Some of you are going of to work. Some of you are just about to start getting the house in order. I am going to make myself a cup of espresso and ponder what else I can write about today. Never a dull moment in Bolehland!!!
