cakap cakap : Political Pariahs Everywhere!
Selamat Pagi Malaysia.
Day by day, in every which way, TSMY cajoles, persuades, entices, bribes threatens and, when all else fails, buys MPs to his side.
Do you have a rape case hanging over your head? Do you have charges of money laundering and corruption pending? Do you have a problem with tax evasion? LHDN is doing a forensic investigation into your ill-gotten gains? Do you want a high public office? Political power? You desire titles and what “respectability” these empty social graces brings you?
Whatever your empty and ungracious heart desires, if your “support” will strengthen TSMY political equation vis a vis the others aligned against him you can trade, seek or simply demand your heart desires from TSMY and his political pariahs. And this incumbent PM, with all the political leverage, political influence, and political will inherent within the PM grasps, will accede to your wants.
Such is the state of our nation today.
I would have thought, that when you are the prime minister of Malaysia, there are certain things that you should not be, things that you would not do or could not do. And that you will have enough common sense and self-awareness to know what is expected of you by the people you are meant to serve and that you will understand that the operative word during your tenure as prime minister is “to serve the people” not to “serve yourself!”.
I thought that if you have been corrupt during the time when you were holding high public office, you will not be the prime minister of my country.
I thought that if you have betrayed friends and those that have picked you up from the political gutter that you have fallen into, dust you up and had gavin you another chance to build yourself up again…if you have betrayed any of these people that have trusted you and helped you in your past political life, I would have expected that you would never have the opportunity to be my prime minister. For surely if there is anything that is to be despised more than greed and corruption, it must be the act of betrayal that you have committed against others!
And I thought that if you have betrayed your wife with your philandering, then public opinion and your religious beliefs would have shamed you into not putting your hands up to be prime minister of my country.
But in all this, I have been wrong.
In TSMY we have all of the above. And he is now my prime minister!
Within the upper echelons of TSMY cabinet are individuals whose past and present deeds draw a comparison to what TSMY has also done while in high public office. Birds of a feather….
How has our country come to this? How is it that there are crooks, robbers, scammers, philanderers, corrupt individuals ruling over us all?
We are fully aware of what is happening to our nation today. I have read, heard, discussed, commented upon, and debated about this back-door PN government. So have many of you. Eminent Malaysians, Malaysians of all persuasion, and Malaysians of all backgrounds have also done so. The King has spoken, Ex prime ministers and wannabe prime ministers have spoken. And even prime minister in waiting has had their say. Nothing has been left unsaid. There really is nothing left to be said. And still, we have TSMY and his political pariahs in government even as we speak.
A corrupt government is not good. Corrupt leaders are worse. Together they have made our nation what it is today….a nation bereft of honour, hope, and grace. Many of us had said enough to what TSMY and his political pariahs are now doing to us and to our nation in the name of the government. Many have done so, but not enough have done so to pivot the tidal wave of despair and hopelessness that threatens to engulf Malaysian and Malaysians away towards hope and a belief that change can happen.
So we must try harder. Political pariahs and corrupt politicians are not, in any political situation, sustainable. Their very existence presupposes that we the people who voted them into office want corrupt, arrogant, and self-serving politicians to serve us! Who wants that?
Please my friends…beat the drums, make a lot of noise, show your anger and your contempt for these political pariahs who have usurped all dignity and honour from the government. Our government. Be loud enough for them to hear and fear us. Do deeds that will make them give heed us. We are many and they are only a few. And even within these few, greed, unbridle and undeserved ambitions, and arrogance will soon cause hem to begin to look over their shoulders lest these birds of a feather start to kill each other for personal glory and wealth.
I have no doubt that TSMY and his political pariahs will fall for there are too many of us who are good and better than these political pariahs who are corrupt and self-serving. It is the waiting that is unbearable. And patience is a virtue reserved mostly for saints. And saints, you and me, are not. Meanwhile, the best we can do is to keep the fire against TSMY and his political pariahs raging within ourselves and that rage will keep me alive and well to witness the fall of TSMY and his political pariahs dalam masa terdekat. So help me God!
