The Oxfart Graduate approves!
KHAIRY JAMALUDDIN, THE WISDOM THAT JUSTIFIES THE PRESENT IMPOSITION OF EMERGENCY IS QUITE LOST ON WE MALAYSIANS.
If Khairy Jamaluddin really believes that the national Emergency imposed was to combat the covid-19 pandemic, he can flush his Oxford scroll down the toilet or shove it up his arse!
The minister of science should be taught some scientific reasoning of cause and effect. Like, what is it that’s missing from our present laws that can’t produce the tools to combat the covid-19 pandemic? Or a constitution that allows our elected legislators to enact laws that can produce them?
Nothing, Khairy! It’s like you would declare a national Emergency to make sure the potholes on public roads are repaired, so that you can cycle over them!
It is when the national security and economic well-being of the nation is threatened by forces that would require fast and immedeate actions to overcome them, and which may transgress our constitutional boundaries, that an Emergency as that envisaged by Article 150 is called for. Nothing less!
Even then, our enacted public security laws allow detention for a period without trial, though ordinarily that would be frowned upon by the constitution. And compulsory acquisition of property for public good. Many others can be enacted la, Khairy!
So what is it that we need in order to combat the pandemic which only the Emergency can enable?
Or do we need to send our teenage son to explain to this Oxford graduate on the elementary stuff?
The fact of the matter is, normally, a country that needs an Emergency is unfortunately very sick. Economic growth enablers like investors stay away from it because of the high risks accompanying it. So an Emergency is usually avoided, if that is possible.
It follows that only idiots would resort to it unnecessarily. Unless, of course, it is to be used as a fig leaf to cover somebody’s dick because his skills to handle things by other means are wanting.
Looks like the Oxford graduate is too easily bankrupt of ideas, and his cabinet resorted to short-cuts which may cause the country to go to the dogs if it has not already. He did not object during the cabinet deliberations; either the cat got his tongue or his balls!
If we are in such an emergency situation, what is the dire need for a RM35 million hall to be built in Pagoh by March? To serve as some sort of a PPS for those infected by covid-19?
Really screwed-up priorities of a screwed-up backdoor government. But the Oxford graduate approves!
