Together…

We have been through many things together.

I thought May 13th was a point of no return for us all. How could we survive that much hate that was unleashed by some of us against each other? May 13 could not have happened had there not been any pent up dislike and hate for each other… could it? All that was simmering and seething below the facade of harmony that was on the surface. All that was waiting for a spark to ignite and excuse the atrocities that were committed upon each other.

And when it all happened, for a while, there was a mindless carnage that we inflicted upon one another. Half a century later the memories of hell on that day still lingers, but more significant was the lessons it taught us all. Never again will we let May 13th happen. Never again will there be any need unleashing hate and loathing upon each other as we did then. We have forgiven, but we will not forget the lessons May 13th has taught us.

Over the decades, we, the rakyat, have been continuously pushed to the very edge of tolerance of each other. Tolerance of each other’s ways and lifestyle. Tolerance of each other language, race, and religion. Tolerance of each other politics. The very strength that should have held us together, D I V E R S I T Y, was used by irresponsible politicians of all persuasions, to divide and rule over us.

The division caused by politicians to serve their own toxic needs for political hegemony over us all has had, by far, the most telling effect upon us all. While May 13th was an explosion of pent-up racial and religious sentiments that was played out over a short period of time, this deliberate divide and rule by irresponsible politicians have been done on a daily basis over the last half a century if not more. Every day we are reminded of our difference. Every day in many ways these politicians find ways and means to accentuate the negative that divides us all.

Ketuanan Melayu, Maruah Melayu, Menghinakan Islam, Mencabar daulat Raja Raja Melayu, Pendatangs,…and most damaging of all, the miseducation of generations and generation of precious young Malaysian in these toxic elements of divisions is now already embedded in the mindset of three or four generations of Malaysian. Probably forever, probably beyond salvation, possibly an impossible task for any future government to undo or make good…making the task of putting together ONE MALAYSIA an almost impossible task.

More worrying for us all… that task of putting together ONE MALAYSIA has not even started. It is 2020… six decades after Merdeka and over half a century after Malaysia, and we have not started building our nation into ONE MALAYSIA… one people, one nation towards the future together.

What do we have today? The Malays have centre stage. None… not the Kadazans, not the Dayaks, not the Indians, the Chinese… not anybody else… not even the Atheist… are involved. By common consensus these non-Malays are telling each other… let the Malays go kill themselves. Let the Malays sort it out between themselves. From those cyber troopers doing the bidding of their political masters to the ketua cawangan, ketua bahagian, state chiefs, so-called War Lords, Ministers, prime minister, the sultans, and of course the YDPA…all are Malays.

All the  PM wannabes are Malays. The non-Malays are not part of the political conundrum, the political upheaval, or the kemelut that now besets our nation. Call it what you will… good, bad, evil., wrong or right, legal or illegal…it is all the Malays doing it to themselves, to all the non-Malays, and to our Nation. If there is any good to emerge from all this it will be due to the wisdom of the Malays. If we… the Malays, the non-Malays and the nation are consigned to the depths of chaos and destruction… it will also be because of the Malays. And you and I know where we are all heading to kan?

In these next few days, as Parliament sits after many months of being silenced by Din, there will be a resolution of sorts to the impossible situation of having a government unable to govern because it does not have the basic fundamentals needed for any government to function in a democracy, support in Parliament to do government. In these next few days, this anomaly will be sorted out. That is what Parliament is supposed to do and what parliament has to do it will do. A Parliament delayed will still deliver when it convenes.

And then what?

I have high hopes that Din and his cabal of political pariahs will be gone. I have hopes that all those PM wannabes and their hangers-on will, once and for all, be made to understand in no uncertain terms, that their questionable services in the past are taken note of and where required will be looked into by a judiciary tasked with doing the right thing for us long-suffering rakyat.

And then once sworn in by the YDPA, the PM (most probably from Umno) begins the task of being a PM for all Malaysians. Easier said than done but this much I know. There will be enough of us to keep that bastard honest…if need be. I rest my case.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 ― Barisan Nasional (BN) said today it will support the Budget 2021 to be tabled by the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government this week.a person riding on the back of a car: Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman is pictured at Menara Dato’ Onn for an Umno Supreme Council meeting October 26, 2020. — Picture by Ahmad Zamzahuri

Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman said all 43 BN lawmakers have agreed to support the budget, which will indirectly gauge the support for under-fire Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. “We (BN) made a decision to support the budget. We want to tell [PN] there is no doubt that the budget will be supported by us. “So to the government and prime minister need not to doubt the support budget,” he told reporters at the lobby of Menara Dato’ Onn after a meeting with BN MPs here.

Tajuddin is one of those “berani mati” Umno guys. If Umno does not use the Budget to rid themselves of Din and his political pariahs then I doubt if Umno will survive past this budget. Why? If Din remains as PM, he will do what he has done in the past. Continue to embed his “supporters” anywhere he can. He has his “supporters” in Umno today. Hishamuddin Hussein is one of them.

Hishamuddin is universally disliked in Umno today at all levels. So what Tajuddin has said: “that BN has agreed to support the budget” : are all smoke and mirrors to lull Din into thinking that he will prevail as PM. Tajuddin does not care if he is later accused of lying by the whole world. Once Umno is in power…so will he. And of course he will be amply rewarded for his services to Umno, dulu, kini dan selama lama nya.
