Selamat Pagi Malaysia!

In all these bewildering, chaotic, cataclysmic soundbites of self-interest, personal agendas, greed, and hubris we have heard since the start of 2020, nothing has fired up the hopes and imagination of Malaysians everywhere, quite like the words of that man from Sabah who said: “WE ARE HERE TO BUILD A NATION. NOT A PARTICULAR RACE OR RELIGION”. Words spoken with the clarity of a man who understands the passion beating in every heart of every true anak Malaysia. Words that have moved you and me to dare to hope again that there is decency, there is grace and there is a sense of duty and responsibility within Shafie Apdal and those that are of his ilk, to serve us all, not serve themselves.

What of the others?

Listen to what Anwar Ibrahim has to say yesterday. He has secured a strong majority to form a government. He has been approached by a number of MPs from various parties” who were unhappy with the existing leadership of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. He insists that he has a mandate of the people to govern. His government will represent all people……fair representation of all races in this country. He is committed to upholding the principles of the constitution that recognizes the position of Islam and the special position of the Malays and Bumiputra. And then he has the audacity to claim that his government will be fair and free of racial and religious divides. Really Anwar? Is not all that a mouthful of jabberwocky and a nauseating litany of words that conjure up what we have all had to endure from Barisan Nasional and Pas for many long-suffering decades?. Compare all that to these words from Shafie Apdal “WE ARE HERE TO BUILD A NATION. NOT A PARTICULAR RACE OR RELIGION”. Huh! Chalk and Cheese!

I am sick. Sick to the pit of my stomach of politicians who think that MPs that they have bought with offers of money and positions in high public office can again subject our people and our nation to their fickle whims and fancies in their pathetic attempts to grab political power. And the biggest culprit of these shenanigans is Anwar Ibrahim. What posses this guy to think that to be prime minister of Malaysia is his life work? Always the bridesmaid, never the bride…and for good reason too!

And Anwar has the audacity to tell us that he has been approached by a number of MPs from various parties who were unhappy with the existing leadership of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin Huh! Yes…he did say that…that these frogs, corrupt and incorrigible politicians had approached him to ask him to form a government. To form a government for what purpose? To serve the rakyat or to serve themselves? Does he take us all for fools?

It really is too early in the morning for this 72-year blogger to say much more but I had to get this off my chest and tell you guys that I am sick, sick to the pit of my stomach, that we are once again subjected to this sandiwara of self-serving politicians totally bereft of any sense of decency or any awareness that the rakyat has had enough of their pathetic attempts to grab political power at our expense. I have said my piece for now. Where is my cup of coffee?
