In reply to my article, “The Royal Lake Club: Corruption and Integrity Decay” the following response from Manjeet Singh Dhillon, President of the Royal Lake Club, was forwarded to me. I am blown away at the speed of the President’s response to the article and what came to my mind is the phrase “Berani kerana benar”….the President is “berani” because he is “benar”. Good for you Sir.
Mr. President, surely it would be disingenuous of me to have written an article about corruption and integrity decay in the Royal Lake Club base on just that one event “the unnecessary outflow of club funds RM371K to be exact”, No Sir…… I have more….much more. No slant, no spin doctoring on my part to fit any narrative nor do I have any interest in the “club hustlings”. Nor am I drawing any “new blood”. Sir if you will stick to the “facts” as we know it now and the other facts that I will soon put into the public domain, we might just be able to resolve the issue of whether there are corruption and integrity decay in the Royal Lake Club. In other words, Sir, if you will cease with the name callings and insinuation that I have a hidden agenda in all this, I too will then respond in kind to you and maybe, just maybe, we can resolve these issues to everyone’s satisfaction, with grace and respect. Can? And Sir, like you, neither do I suffer fools gladly.
In his message to me, the PRESIDENT also wrote “Yes, sure the Royal Lake Club had events in 2016 where the Club undertook certain measures which resulted in an unnecessary outflow of club funds RM371K to be exact. …A substantial portion of the RM371k is back in”. If that is kosher, then my article is not “all codswallop” as claimed by you…is it now Sir?
By the way Sir, why is just “A substantial portion of the RM371k is back in”.…why not the full amount? And Sir, are you also going to recover the costs involved in the litigation incurred in recovering and ongoing recovering of the RM371K?
I will reply to the President’s message to me as and when I am ready to do so. Meanwhile, may I remind the President that neither am I “detached or indifferent” to the matter at hand. These insinuations against the Royal Lake Club are deadly serious and should be addressed accordingly. Every one of those high profile individuals who have profited at the expense of the Royal Lake Club and it’s members should get their just desserts.
