IN MIND LIFESTYLE

Selamat Pagi Malaysia…

Selamat Pagi Malaysia.

It is now 9.15 am in Melbourne. Today Victoria recorded 108 COVID 19 cases, thirty-eight suburbs and nine public housing towers go into “hard” lockdown.

It is 12.16 am in London, where Mariam Mokhtar resides, and we hear that a park in London bans alcohol after ‘urination and defecation’. Certainly a far cry from the London of my student days in the late 1960s.

In Toronto, where my daughter is, it is 7.16 pm and my daughter tells me that while my granddaughter Sofia is happy that it is her 7th birthday she is also sad because “I’m closer to getting old and dying now”.

It is 7.15 am in KL where Mo Halim, Howard Chew, Begum Mi, that smiling girl from Raub and the rest of you guys are. TSMY and his axis of Evil are now dealing with the reality of being in bed with Umno. Umno, not Bersatu will decide who will be PM.

What else is happening where you guys are? These are some of the headlines that greeted me early this morning as I woke up from a rested sleep. Maybe “greeted me” is not the appropriate phrase to use…maybe I should have said “we have grown accustomed to living with from the time of the last PRU in 2018″…is that not right? Politics is our daily diet. You and I know that we need politics like a need a hole in our head…kan?
Shahrir Samad: Banyak lagi perlu selesai sebelum pilih calon PM.

250 ahli PKR Ampang keluar parti, dakwa cabang bubar serta-merta.

Nurul Izzah: Biarlah politikus lain layan isu calon PM

Umno PM candidate if we win the most seats insists party veep.

Hubungan serangkai keluarga komponen PH perlu diperkukuh – Anwar.

And so as the world, we mere mortals go about our daily lives the best way we can. I start the day with a glass of water, vitamins, and a Short Black Nespresso that is to me, the nectar of life! Then in my Sarong, black T-shirt and slipper, I sit at my keyboard and hope to God that my mind can progress from Neutral to First Gear asap so that I can write.

What would I rather do instead?

I would rather be at the Lucky Gardens morning market in Bangsar getting breakfast! Or at the Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa in Kampong Baru getting…what else but Nasi Lemak lah! With sotong and ayam goring. Yes guys there is nothing like breakfast options in KL. Nothing in London, Melbourne, or Sydney comes close to the choices you guys have in KL for Sunday breakfast! So be grateful guys…and damm politics.

Do good and be nice to one another…even to those guys in Umno and Pas!
